About The Author
Andy Holligan was born in 1966 in Scotland, Great Britain and has a lifelong interest in psychology and military history. He had various jobs after leaving school in 1983 but was unsure of what he wanted to do. The only thing he was sure of was that he didn’t want to work for a boss. He had given up hope of his life ever improving and thought he would be stuck in a rut forever. After years of going from job to job, he became involved in multi-level marketing, (MLM) which he worked part-time. Thanks to the sales and training system, especially the positive thinking books, his life began to turn around and he became a Christian in 1999. A few years later, after reading hundreds of books and attending many seminars, he decided to start writing books of his own. Realizing the importance of these books and how they had the power to turn a person’s life around, he hoped that what he had written might help someone else to avoid the pitfalls he fell into, and at the same time, might benefit from what he has experienced.
If someone had told him back in 1995 that books could change your life, he would have laughed at them. Not any more. Hence the reason he has written You Are The Problem, You Are The Solution – which is based not on ‘classroom theory’, but on the authors own personal ‘experience’ over the past years. Through this book he gives people a definite and clear cut guide of ‘what to do’ in terms of creating new habits. If we like it or not, habits control our lives. He said “you create the habits, then habits create you”.
The good news is that there is nothing in your past that needs to have any control over your future- unless you let it. But it all starts with a conscious decision to change your habits. If you don’t change your inner world then you’re not going to see much change in your physical world- that’s just the way it is. It’s the law of ’cause and effect’ in action. Your thinking (or habits) is the cause, and your life is the effect. Change one and you automatically change the other.
Since joining MLM, Andy Holligan has shown many presentations over the years. During this time, he said you are also facing your fears, such as fear of rejection, fear of public speaking, fear of failure, fear of what people think etc.etc. But it has, still is, and always will be beneficial to our own personal development. In fact ,he says it is essential because there’s no gain without pain. The more uncomfortable- the more we are going to grow. He says he will never miss reading for 15 minutes a day for the rest of his life. The real secret is not how much you read at a time, but how often. Most people miss this point. It has to be daily, because if you don’t, your thinking will drift back to negative on the days in between. I wish you well!
